Dear friends,

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) is happy to give you good news that Mr. Ravi Kiran Regmi alias "Nirjeeb" has been released from the Bharatpur Army Barrack in Nepal on 15 September 2003. The AHRC had previously issued urgent appeals regarding his case and called for his immediate release from the detention on 11 September 2003. According to the information, Mr. Regmi's health condition is good but his family members are still afraid whether he may be arrested again in the future. Please keep your eyes on his case and thank you very much for your concern and effort to intervene in his case.

Thank you.
