UPDATE: Michael Edward Released from Prison

On the 24th of March, we released an Urgent Appeal regarding Mr. Michael Edward, who had been severely tortured and was being held without a date set for his appeal in Bogambara Prison in Sri Lanka.

We have just received the news that Michael Edward has now been released from prison. We thank you for your letters calling for his release, as we are certain that the letters contributed to his release in this instance. No further action is requested at this stage.
